We woke up to a fun-filled day ahead. We drove to Kandersteg where we got a cable car to the top of a mountain. When we got there, the older Heron Rangers split off from the guides to do their own picturesec hike. We were meant to be doing dry tobogganing, but because of the heavy rain it was closed because it was unsafe. After this, we walked down to the stunning blue lake and ate our packed lunches in front of the beautiful views. The guides and rangers reunited in a cafe overlooking Montains and numerous villages. Unfortunately we were also unable to swim in the lake as it was extremely cold but this didn't stop us from swimming completely !! After we got back off the cable cars we started a short but brisk walk to the nearest outdoor swimming pool. Even though it was raining, this didn't stop us from having fun!! When we got to the pool we were all pleasantly surprised by all the different things we could do in the water. Heated at 26*C, and with 4 pools and a jacuzzi, there were diving boards at different heights with the tallest one at 3.5m. There was also water slides which you could go down on rubber rings and other inflatables. We finished the day with a quick stop at the Kandersteg international World Scouting Centre where we got to learn about the history of the place and buy souvenirs. We got back very tired but we're all looking forward to Stechelberg Got Talent later on!
