We thought that today was one of the best days we have had (so far)!
We travelled to the top of Europe by train. Gradually, as we went further and further up, it became colder and we had to put on more layers! We got to see very beautiful views such as lots of mountains and green areas. We were at a very high altitude meaning the air got tighter. We took loads of photos of us at the top of the mountains. We found funky ways of keeping warms such as: socks on our hands as gloves...
We then had the most amazing time running around in the snow in the mountains, afterwards we had the chance to use some sledges and rubber donughts which we then played in. We slid down the slopes and it was really funny when some kept rolling off the toboggans and into the snow, but no one was hurt, we all really enjoyed this and we're still laughing about it now! On the way back the adults were throwing snowballs and some of us joined in. Still can't believe it was snowing.... It's summer!
Trying to warm up, we went inside to explore more. One of our stops was to see an ice palace. The floor was like a ice rink, very slippery. We were inside a glacier and some of the ice sculptures were amazing, they were made out of real ice.
Keeping the Lindt chocolate shop in business we all bought intricate flavours...marzipan? On one of the walls we were taught about how they produced the delicious chocolate they sell. We all loved it in there and the smell still lingers in our senses. We all got a freebie of one of the original flavour chocolates.
It was a great day and we all really enjoyed it was a great day out and we can't wait till the next day out, hope it will be great.
