Day 4 - Young Leader's mini adventure blog

Today the two of us we were given some freedom to design our own adventure for a few hours, so we went down to the town (Lauterbrunnen) by bus and hired mountain bikes. We cycled a little way to Staubachfalls where we stood behind a waterfall. We then continued cycling until Laura's chain fell off her bike, but we were soon back on the road again when we fixed it. When we reached Stechelberg we took some photos and began on our return journey back to the bike shop. We walked round the town and enjoyed chocolate fudge brownie and frozen yoghurt. We then got the bus back to the Chalet for lunch with the rest of the unit. 

We headed off on a hike to Trummelbachfalls for the afternoon where 20,200 tonnes of glacial water crashes through the falls every second. After a short break we began the long walk back to the chalet. A very enjoyable but tiring day.
