Final Team Briefing

We enjoyed a lovely day in June for our final team briefing. We started by travelling by the Overground train to Pax Lodge which is one of four World Centres of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The centre is situated in Hampstead, North London, next door to the World Bureau, the International Headquarters of WAGGGS.

Everyone completed the Pax Lodge challenge to find out more about the centre and WAGGGS. Then it was back on the train to Wanstead to get to know each other by taking part in team building games and trying on our new trips kit.
The day ended with a parent's meeting to run through everything ahead of our holiday.
It suddenly is started to feel real.

Team preparation Day and final parents meeting

Saturday 13th June .... its been in the diary for months and as the date gets closer the girls are getting more and more excited to be seeing each other again.

We are venturing into London to visit Pax Lodge - one of the 4 WAGGGS World Centers of Guiding.  We will be visiting another one called Our Chalet while we are in Switzerland so thought we should visit the one on our door step.

Preparation and team building days are so important for a trip like this - it sets the scene and ground-rules for the trip and helps everyone be aware of others and understand what is expected of them while we are away.

The trip clothing has arrived as have the International Scarves and Lanyards - the itinerary and final details will be distributed at the parents meeting.

We will post photos of our trip here for everyone to see.

See you all on Saturday

Dont forget - you can leave comments for us too - see the comments box below here.
